PRO/ART, a non-profit association, organises the Qwartz Electronic Music Awards in an educational, qualitative spirit, for the promotion of new types of music. The Qwartz Electronic Music Awards aim to reveal and promote artists and productions of quality with a view to supporting the development of new, contemporary electronic and digital music in Europe and throughout the world. All works entered for the Qwartz Electronic Music Awards (approximately 4,000 works per edition) are digitised and saved to become part of a collection that will be permanently accessible to the public on the Qwartz portal. It is a way of safeguarding and transmitting new musical creation for the enjoyment of future generations.

The Qwartz Electronic Music Awards are exclusively reserved for productions of independent labels and artists. Productions of independent labels and artists distributed by a third party (recording industry majors included) are accepted.

 

The nominations of the Qwartz Awards 6th edition.

The composition of the jury.

The 6th edition of the Qwartz will occur on the 2nd, 3rd of April 2010. We will organize again an International Forum dedicated to the Electronic Music and Associated Arts during two days. 100 stands can be present on the Forum.

The nominees will either play during the Qwartz event or be invited to get a stand for free on the International Forum dedicated to the Electronic Music and Associated Arts.

Music nominations: the members of the new selection committee has listen "blind" to the works.

ONLY ONE UNIT TO SEND FOR EACH ALBUM REGISTERED

Only one unit to send for each album registered. A CDR with masterised files for net labels.

The works participating to the next 7th edition must have been released on a commercial digital or analogical support or proposed through a net label between January the 1st 2009 and July the 15th 2010. The work must never has been presented before to the Qwartz Music Awards, but in a compilation is autorized.

No promotional copy will be accepted for the selection.

Artwork and packaging nomination: only works included in the presented albums will be selected.

Video and animation nomination: send the works in MPEG or QUICKTIME format – maximum definition - on DVD-R in data. No DV PAL format is authorized.

CLOSING DATE FOR THE INSCRIPTIONS : JULY THE 15th 2010

CLOSING DATE FOR THE WORKS’ RECEPTION: JULY THE 24th 2010

The Regulation must be signed. The registration's modalities are as follows: each participant has to send en e-mail to the Qwartz Organizators at this adresse : registration7[@]qwartz.org. This e-mail contains the following informations : first and last names of the participant, the presented work's name and his author's name.

The works under Creative Commons’ licence are of course eligible.
(Such works have already been awarded since Qwartz’s first edition.)

A – The labels who wish to have a stand during the next Qwartz ceremony must let us know no later than December 1st 2009.

B- The labels who wish to promote their artists on Qwartz’s website may be allowed to post their “label news “. This section is equipped with a dedicated RSS syndication feed, allowing each journalist and listener to be posted in real time, without waiting for the newsletter.
