Evoking the work of the composer Henri Pousseur feels quite like travelling across a century of contemporary musical adventure with ears and eyes wide open, discovering unlikely links between pernickety writing and audible architecture, instrumental quintessence and electroacoustic experience.

"A set of ambient- styled reworks of the last :papercutz album Lylac, the hour-long collection's title, Do outro lado do espelho, translates from the Portugese as “on the other side of the looking glass.” Enough remains of Lylac's sound for the listener new to Miguel's world to derive some sense of his :papercutz style. The vocals, marimbas, pianos, and electronics heard in his originals aren't removed but instead added to and re-shaped by the contributors—each one looking upon an original from the other side of his/her own respective glass."
...Her bass guitar could strangely be compared to that of Peter Hook or Jah Wobble, opening the album to unexpected territories. EDH's layered vocalizing creates a "présence phantomatique", simultaneously rattling the ghosts of French pop while conjuring up images of the Cocteau Twins being tortured by Aphex Twin. Minimal and complex, odd and melancholic, Predature reveals the scale of this atypical French artist that cannot be ignored.

Slam have decided to give away the parts and sounds for the A-sides of their first 4 paragraph releases.
The idea was inspired by real 2 real disco re-edits, says Meikle, when people used to make different versions of tracks for club-play. In this day and age of instantly available music, we think it would be cool to give people the choice to remix and re edit our tracks, so they have there own individual versions, says McMillan. Its also a way for new producers to get an incite into how we make our music and hopefully inspire them to create something new and exiting.
For Heal’s new album, Supernatural, Laurent Perrier has cut, sampled and rearranged the work of 11 talented guest musicians in a collage of instruments, synthetic abstractions and nervous compositions. Playing the mad scientist, Heal makes Supernatural’s side A a total hybrid, full of references, where Amon Tobin jazzy tunes meet the Pink Panther and classic American comics, where massive exotica echoes post war film noir… Somewhere in between synth pop and ambient dub, side B is more electronic, contemplative, and continues the exploration of harmony that, since “Starting back”, has become project Heal’s trademark.
Supernatural is a record like a cinematographic experience, rich of its own contrasts and colours.
le cabaret moi. cd. ant-zen act231 three years after soap bubble factory and virgin pulses, ant-zen is proud to present geneviéve pasquier's new album. from the very first note the listener will be mesmerized by the elegant electronic pulses that are dominated by the persuasive/icy quality of her vulnerable and adorable voice. le cabaret moi is geneviéve pasquier's very own cabaret. a cabaret which transforms her desires into fourteen songs of diverse styles (without regard to any arbitrariness). the music's scope ranges from subtle, slow-moving ambience (changing, nobody's darling), electro noise tunes (bouge!, fusion), beautiful atmospheric lounge cabaret (mon cabaret), insistent electroid beats (rubberpop) and finally into a furious rapid interpretation of the normal's warm leatherette. at once beautiful and distant, geneviéve pasquier's delivery speaks to everyone's feelings of loneliness, anger and pleasure that crop up at some point in life. a revue of class and noblesse - enter and enjoy your stay!
Pueblo Nuevo Netlabel proudly presents "Vesania", from Dr.800XL [Chile] featuring Muza, La Monine, Leo Quinteros, El Remolon, GFR & Blit.
"Felipe Zuñiga, the man behind Dr.800XL's nickname, is a good friend of ours we have shared stage and entertaining nocturnal soirees with. He's a public health doctor and a psychiatrist, but we are more familiar with his music-making side. It's fair to say that this is a very fortunate combination, for he knows the power of music to heal wounds and balancing all those small, unstable parts conforming a person..."
"This Dr.800XL's album is definitely crazy. There seems to be neither judgement nor reason when music sounds so (hu)man-machine-like, unsystematically beautiful..."
