On December 5, the music world lost one of its biggest contributors of the last fifty years. A visionary composer, Karl-Heinz Stockhausen was one of the very first to understand the creative importance of electronic sound in 20th century contemporary music. He used electronics in his compositions often exceptionally and sometimes riskily: but he was always ahead of his time.

At the international gala of Qwartz Electronic Music Awards on 23 march 2007, Björk received the Qwartz d'Honneur, but she didn't came. His Excellency Tomas Ingi OLRICH , ambassador of Iceland in Paris went at the ceremony to get her Qwartz.

There are few labels as eclectics as Staubgold. And only few of them let their mentor’s personality appear so clearly in the artistic choices. Staubgold, which has been founded in 1998 in Köln and moved to Berlin in 2002, is a real piece of work of its own, and more precisely, Markus Detmer’s one.
